| Strange. You'd think that given the wide use of both programs, that that
| FP would be more visible (and soon to be fixed by Kolla, for that

Yes, strange indeed. Next I'll check the internet connection and firewall settings
for dialup. If there was spyware on the computer - I've got rid of that with my
previoius investigations etc. Have eliminated viruses as none were found. The flash
across the screen hasn't showed up since I cleaned up a bit awhile back.

Back to the drawing board as the problem now appears to be with IE and OE (dialup
connection etc). Sometimes it connects well, then another time it can't locate the
provider and shortly after that freezes. Sometimes in IE, cannot open OE, nothing
happens when you click read mail. Can't open OE from the shortcut either. Then
perhaps 10 minutes later, everyting is okay. If it continues to lock up etc after
I've done the final investigations, I will not proceed any further and he can take it
back to the shop in the New Year. It's under warranty and I don't want to fool around
with it too much. It has been known for video cards to cause a freeze on the screen
and they can wipe it clean if necessary and check the hardware. I don't want that
responsibility. Worse case scenario if they wipe it clean, I have to reinstall the
applications.

It's different working on your own computer and you wear the consequences yourself.
