Re: Multi-AV

My observations weren't intended as "personal attacks," though rereading this thread I can see how they could be construed as that.
So, I do apologise, and I do recognise your points.

I don't consider this a debate and I'm not interested in personal attacks. I
am perfectly capable of reformatting and restoring my PC from backups. I
will be glad to take $ donations for imaging software and an external hard
drive. My point is that in general, I don't trust any AV or AS program to
simply delete anything unless I investigate what the item is first. I cannot
do that with Multi_AV. Also, there are inexperienced users viewthing this
newsgroup, who don't understand the possible ramifications of using this
tool. I have recommended Multi_AV.exe as a resource for some folks who had
inadequate AV software, but I don't think I will continue to do that as long
as it does not have a toggle switch to rename instead of delete. If I turn my
PC into toast - well - I can deal with that, but I don't want to be
responsible for giving bad advice to others, who might not be prepared to
recover.
