A quick Google for "Fujitsu drive diagnostic" would have brought you to

"Don't Panic!"

I had already been to the Seagate seatools site and cannot understand/make
it work. It calls for a 1.44 floppy disk and I don't have a floppy disk
drive on any of my computers. I read the instructions on the Fujitsu site
and it says that it will only run under DOS and calls for a dos boot disk
(like Windows 98) which I don't have. Like I said, I can't understand any
of it, so I guess my next stop is my computer shop in town and pay them a
fortune to tell me whether or not my hard drive is bad. I checked the hard
drive on HP/Compaq site and the test came back fine. Why is their test not
considered adequate?

I apologize if I appear incompetent, appear might not be the right word
since I am incompetent about most things about a computer, but I did google
and since I couldn't understand any of it, this was my next stop. Most
people who turn to the newsgroup for help are "home users" who when they run
into problems need simple detailed help/instructions. If most of us "home
users" knew all this stuff, there would be no use for computer gurus/MVPs
like you guys that are good enough to help us out. I know it must get
tiring dealing with us, but I appreciate your time. Thanks again!
