Hello!
Anyone has an idea what that supposed virus is ? Bitdefender keeps
detecting it on my TEMP file, when I boot
into Windows XP ? I could not find it in any virus list. It is
supposed to be present in a number of
files that appear in the directory : A011849.exe is one of them.
There are many variants of the Zlob trojan. Lately, the most common way
of getting it is from downloading so-called codecs from malicious
sites.
Go through the steps here, doing all prep/finishing work and following
instructions to do all scans in Safe Mode.:

Start by scanning with either Sysclean or Multi_AV, plus Ewido. Do all
prep/finishing work and follow instructions to do all scans in Safe
Mode.
Thanks. I will try that. I really thought it was a false alert.
I am using an evaluation copy of Bit>DS>efender.
I also have registered versions of Norton Antivirus and Macafee -
which never found that malware.
Then do the specific removal steps here:

When all else fails, run HijackThis and post your log in one of the
specialty forums listed at the link above (not here, please).
If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
