Re: unable to open websites in browser(s)

hi,

i'm running Norton Antivirus 2002 - updated virus defs.
i use HijackThis to scan for BHOs and Malware .

firewall is BlackIceDefender.

my problem is that i cant go to the www.elephantboycomputers.com link
.....
looked into the processes running on that system using ProcExp, but
that didnt show up any weird in-memory loads , so im still rather
confused.

far as i know i havent been to any dodgy websites or downloaded
anything executable before the trouble began..

TIA

There are many viruses and malware that can cause problems with
connectivity. Since you haven't told us what security you've set up
such as antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc. all I can suggest is
that you go through these malware removal steps systematically:

I would do that first. If the machine comes out clean, then you can
proceed to the next step of troubleshooting which would be to check
your hardware and also call the ISP to confirm that there are no DNS
issues on their end.
