SVCHOST.exe is a legit process also. Malware authors commonly name
their creations after legitmate files to avoid visible detection by
the user. You are most likely infected with an IM Worm and as part of
it's payload it has prevented you access to security vendor websites.
You can run the Multi_AV tool in normal mode to retrieve the database
files. Boot in safe mode to execute the utility then to remove the
    malware from your pc.
