It is however unusual for a client AV scanner to detect NNTP traffic,
usually this is only performed by gateway type scanners or firewall scanners
(at least in my experience). I think Phil makes a very good point, that
scanning for this should be provided as part of the ISPs newsgroup servers
and not left up to the clients alone to filter.
