| the only virus software i have is norton...should i got ahead with this
| anyway? and if so, which one should i choose (ps the trendmicro i ran was the
| free online one). does that help more or?
| also, i am getting a new virus alert for
| Trojan.Elitebar in C:\Windows\etb\nt_hide70.dll
| is this related?
This utility is a front end to "On Demand" scanners. They are not full time scanners like
the NAV package you have installed.
None have to pre-exist on the PC and they will happily co-exist with NAV.
The Trend Micro online scan and the Trend Micro Sysclean utility use the same signatures.
The difference is the utility has a greater efficacy in removing infectors and does not
require the use of Internet Explorer.
