PC-Cillin and Windows XP: Recurrant "You must restart..." messages?

I "Up"-graded my Windows 2000 Pro box to XP last night.

Among other things, PC-Cillin seems tb acting up.

To wit:

1) I keep getting "You must restart your computer..." messages after PC-Cillin
does it's automagic download thing. Never got these before... must've rebooted
a half-dozen times by now and they persist.

2) At boot time, Windows keeps telling me that PC-Cillin isn't checking for
viruses. And, indeed, once or twice when I checked PC-Cillin seemed to have
shut itself off. Other times, it seemed tb functioning.

3) After PC-Cillin did the last download, it looks to me like it shut itself off
right aftwards bc Windows XP popped a dialog saying "Your computer might be at
risk: - Trend Micro PC Cillin...." (basically isn't running it's firewall or
checking for viruses). If that dialog is correct, this is truly nasty
behavior - leaving the PC connected, but completely exposed.

Anybody been here?

Time to revert to 2000 Pro?
