More SPAM crap..
AVG is CRAP - pure and simple. Great for those that know no better and
don't go looking to see what it has left on the system that almost any other
AV product would remove...
I changed from AVG after discovering 3 virus infections on a PC using
another well known product that AVG had failed to act upon. Upon further
investigation it was found AVG detected them, but didn't bother to do
anything at all, including alert the user! Wow - great product!!!
Just to me sure, I loaded AVG Free v7 back onto a PC connected to ADSL via a
router, and removed the other AV products. After just a couple of days
there was a very slight difference in operation (probably not enough for the
average Joe Blow to notice) - a check of the AVG log, which almost everyone
doesn't do, revealed that AVG had detected a Trojan but had not alerted the
user or removed the Trojan in any way.
A scan with Avast, AntiVir Personal and some others found even more than
just that one Trojan that AVG had detected - they ALL found 4 more virus's
that AVG hadn't even found! ALL of these other products also removed ALL of
the problems, including the original Trojan that AVG detected but left
sitting on the system only to be detected again next scan!
And before any "pro-AVG" users start - yes AVG was up-to-date, updated
immediately before each full scan...
Although it is free, is this the kind of 'protection' you *really*
want???????????????????????
[snip remainder of crap]
