Norton 2005 blocks all internet activity

I have been struggling with all types of IE problems ever since I instanlled
Norton AV 2005. The most serious problem was that I could no longer access
the internet.

Finally, I revmoved this program and went back to my updated version of the
OEM Norton 2001 AV.

Has anyone else had problems like this?
