No they are not related. only that each have had problems with ebay! (unsure
about the forth, which i'm not going to touch yet) 3 have xp home the other
pro. Just to run through my steps
1) tried safe mode etc
2) used Home/Pro discs to recover CHKDSK /R
3) tried fix boot
4) removed HDD, set up as slave-would not boot? Hot conected it (naughty)
HDD found, scanned using uptodate norton-no virus, tried to format stoped at
13%
5) Reinstalled HDD-primary boot failure.
6) Max blast failed to recognise it has a Maxtor. Which it was.
7) Power max low level formated it then said it wasnt there?
8) After numerous attempts to format Fat32/ntfs (13% stall) 2 other drives
went in the same way as above, just altering things around the above.
9) one out of the 3 drives was a definately a worker!
10) removed battery and ram left ten min and tried again.
11) I have an 80 gig still zeroing
12) called for help
Hope thats clearer
