I believe I've eliminated the Search~1.DLL problem when I deleted the 2 anti
spy programs he mentioned and I reinstalled Spybot - Search and Destroy.
I'll have to do some looking for the XP disk - I've had the PC for a couple
of years and never had to use it as XP was installed. I'll report my
findings when I get the task done.
