Muhammed:
The "full" answer is based upon the AV vendor chosen Most Enterprise Anti
Virus solutions will have a capacity to perform Centralized Updating. In
addition to LanWench's TrendMicro suggestion, there is McAfee VirusScan in
conjunction with E Policy Orchestrator (ePO).
Note also through good login scripting you can force the updates to be
installed when users logon to the Domain. This is how I do it. I have
McAfee AutoArchetecture download the updates and the are pushed to Domain
Controller using the Replicator service. I then edit the logon script and
change a counter when there are new McAfee DAT files. When the user logs
onto the Domain the counter is used to compare if the user is up-to-date or
not and if they aren't, the execute the McAfee SuperDAT which installs the
latest DAT and/or ENGINE files. Since all user's *MUST* log onto the Domain,
the user is guaranteed to have the latest McAfee DAT files.
