Stinger and sysclean are removal tools. Both are updated regularly and should ONLT be used
if you know or think you are infected. they are not something you keep a round and use
often.

Having two Anti Virus applications is contraindicated since the two will interfere with each
other. having a full time Anti Virus application and command line scanner is OK since the
command line scanner is an "On Demand" scanner and will not interfere with an Anti Virus
package's "On Access" scanner. So please keep in mind that one AV application should be
installed and running and using a command scanner once in a while is OK. However, it *must*
be updated before using.

In the case of Stinger, it is relatively static. It is only updated when a new variant
comes out or if McAfee decides to add a new infector to its list of targeted infectors.
therefore it really should ONLY be used when you think you are infected with an infector
that Stinger targets.

Sysclean on the other hand is a broad-spectrum scanner and targets ~78.000 infectors. Both
the Pattern Files and the scanner itself is updated. Albeit, the Pattern Files are updated
more frequently tan the scanner. Not that Sysclean targets *all* the infectors that Stinger
targets therefore its use is redundant.

| Hi- I use Avg free- I believe that I am pretty content with it- I do
| occasional online scans-This is also what I have: ZA free,ad-aware
| free,stinger,ss&d, trend micro sysclean scanner,spyblaster, bazooka,
| cwshredder, hmmmm did I forget anything?? anyways, I found out that everytime
| I'd scan with a different program for spyware, that it would pick up
| somthing different the the others did not. So Is it ok to have 2 different
| av programs installed on the pc or would they clash??I think that they may,
| but maybe there are two that compliment each other and dont- thanks for
