machine,It goes through the normal start up proceedure,all
the way to my desktop screen as usual(with the taskbar
Icons appearing in their normal sequence,ect...)But before
I can start accessing any programs,browsers,ect...I now
must wait for this standard microsoft error message box to
appear,which says:NT On Access Scanner Service has
encountered a problem and needs to close...ect,and gives
me the option of sending a report to
microsoft,ect...So,before I can do anything else,I must
close this "window"/"error message" box out.I`ve accessed
the "info" option on this box to find that it is related
to my McAfee anti virus program. I contacted McAfee
online,and got a "fix" that required right clicking on "My
Computer" clicking on "manage" going to services and
applications,then to services,then to McAfee.com McShield/
properties,choosing "recovery" then changing the "first
failure" setting...well,to try and make an already long
story shorter...the fix did not work...I dunno,maybe I
chose the incorrect setting,but I had to change it back to
the way it was originally set,because the problem only
came back,but this time on a regular basis without my
having to be in a restart situation!...Whew!!! sorry,but
that`s the only way I can describe it!
