As far as I know, mcafee is up to v.9 now, so v.8 will be
pre-SP2.
Have you updated your new installation at the mcafee site?
Never rely on an install out of the box to be up to date.
Alwaysd check for newer
definitions online immediately.
There is almost certainly a patch available to ensure
compatibility.
I say almost, not being a mcafee user myself, but most other
softwrae does.
