Which OS are you using? 9x? Why do you say your VM is low? What error
messages are you getting? If you think you have a virus, have you scanned
your system for malware? if so, which program did you use and what were the
results? My paging file is 1.5GB, BTW. That in itself is not any problem.
Need more details.
