Safe Mode - still can't get out of it!

    I posted earlier today about not being able to reboot in
    normal mode. It seemed stuck in Safe Mode. Someone
    suggested I reinstall Windows XP. Now, it's really stuck.
    For Setup to conclude, it has to reboot. When it tries to
    reboot, and it starts up in Safe Mode, Setup says it
    can't run in Safe Mode and has to reboot. It is stuck in
    a circle.

    Thanks for the suggestion to check msconfig but without
    starting up all the way, there's no running anything.

    Anyone know how to break the cycle? I can force it into
    DOS but don't know what to do.
