I really hope someone out there can help me with this as
I am not looking forward to a wipe and reload and losing
all of my files. I am running XP, and a couple of days
ago norton found a worn, GAOBOT, on my system but was
unable to repair it. I went to their site and got the fix
tool, but it didn't detect the worm at all. Now nothing
but IE will open. Any other app or program will try to
open with adobe reader and of course since they are not
in PDF format, they will not open. I went to
antivirus.com and it found a few varients of the trojan
virus and deleted them, but still no luck getting
anything to run. I tried to install sp2, but it quit
about halfway through and uninstalled. I have a couple of
programs that I am able to get running by right clicking
and clicking run as, but if there is any steps after that
it opens adobe. Somebody please help.
