I love your site! Thanks for the link. It's hard to say what the best av
is, but right now for home users I like EZ-Armor Antivirus and
Firewall. Microsoft made a deal with Computer Associates to offer a
year's free subscription to this software, which you can get here:

EZ-AV isn't too invasive and seems to do a good job. It comes with a
firewall that is apparently licensed by CA from ZoneAlarm.
I personally use F-Prot on my Windows boxen, but it needs a teensy bit
of user interaction when it updates, which is not desirable for most of
my home user clients. F-Prot has corporate solutions, as does CA. My
understanding is that Symantec Corporate Version is still good,
although it is very expensive. I, and most techs I know, no longer
recommend Symantec's Norton Antivirus for home users. NAV has gotten
very bloated, buggy, and while it still catches viruses well, Symantec
is too difficult to deal with.
