Indeed, what a useful page!
It isn't possible to simply uncheck the "allow incoming echo request"
box in ICMP setting, so I guess I may have to add a rule to my firewall
that will block Port 445?
As a point of interest a new Symantec security check informs me that
1025 and 1029 ports are still open, even though I have blocked them in
Nortons own Firewall! In contrast a "Sheilds Up" check tells me that
everything is just fine and rated my system "Stealth"
