Daniella: Below is a link to Symantec explaining the problem
you're referring to and it's solution. Evidently they are
working on a fix that will be available thru Live Update.
Symantec's faq's page doesn't say anything about this fix not
working with their 2003 versions, and I was led to believe it
will work with NAV/NIS 2003 from one of the MVP's. The
Security Center should recognize what you have
installed/running i.e. NAV etc. and say that, plus "status
unknown". If you monitor your own antiviral, then you know
what the status is if your keep it updated. I have the same
situation, but since I know my firewall is running (not using
Win Firewall), my antiviral is running and constantly updated,
then I don't need the Security Center to tell me the status,
the only important thing to me is that Sec. Ctr. recognizes it
as installed and running, until they fix this.
