I cannot find information on how to remove the following
virus (Backdoor.Trojan) identified using Symantec Anti
Virus on an XP Laptop. The file identified is
(ProgramFiles\Web_Rebates\)we have manually removed the
file and contents both using the Add/Remove programs and
also manually. Of course this virus has imbedded itself
elsewhere since it keeps being identified...about every
10 minutes with a pop-up notification that it has been
moved to quarantine. The system has slowed to a crawl as
well...probably a symptom of this virus/trojan/?. I know
I got rid of the About:Blank issue on my husbands laptop
by doing a system restore, I think in safemode. Can
anyone offer help?
