Even when I get new Dell, IBM, etc platforms I prefer to load the OS from
scratch. I have run into numerous circumstances were bugs were loaded into
the OS by the factory. Like the time We bought over 80 Dell GX240 and GX400
platforms and once Win2k SP2 was installed, Roxio failed to work any longer.
Reinstalling from scratch cured that problem. Or the abundant CRAP that Sony
installed on its Vaios notebooks.

The factory installs crap they ASSUME you want but nope, just loads in the
system tray and wastes RAM and disk space.
