I've just now gotten to working with this and in the first three words of
the KB, I have a question. It says:
Taking Ownership of Profiles in Windows 2000
1.. In the Profile folder, right-click the appropriate user's profile
folder, and then click Properties.
2.. Click the Security tab, and then click Advanced.
3.. Click the Owner tab, click the user that you would like to take
ownership in the Change owner to box, and then click Apply.
4.. Click the Ownership button. A dialog box appears and displays:
My Questions:
1 - I'm using Windows XP, does this (Windows 2000) KB still apply?
2 - I've been searching for the "Profile" folder and can't figure out which
one to use. I searched the drive and see what I think are 'system' profiles
yet when I right-click on them, and then 'properties' I don't get a
'security' tab. Do you have more of a path name to help me locate this
"Profile folder" the article talks about?
Can't tell you how much I appreciate the help!!!

| See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q268019& for

| Make sure you get a good firewall - don't connect to the Internet without
