Did anyone on that forum indicate they've seen or heard before of the
problem you experience? Seems like advising you to wait for the next release
isn't diagnosing the problem very well! I'm strongly suspicious that
something really strange is going on, that it's going to affect the system
in other ways, and that SpywareGuard being affected could possibly give good
clues as to the real root of the problem. The utility just works so good,
looking at the percentages of users who install and have no problem versus
those who have had problems kind of speaks for itself and just makes me
ultra suspicious that something else is very wrong on your system even if it
doesn't seem (yet) to be manifesting itself at the moment. Or not
manifesting in the same way. This is worrisome because after you do the next
MS update you might not be able to go back to an earlier restore point (it
depends on the update, some are not reversible).
