Thanks to everyone for the help......;)
Everything shows to be just fine in the configuration, device manager shows
everything installed and working good, it just doesn't show the cable being
plugged in.
I can disable the built-in adapter and enable the PCI card I installed for
troubleshooting purposes and it will hook right up.
Both cards show in the device manager as working.

I am thinking this could be the problem, just never seen a built-in card go
out.
