I have a virus and cannot get rid of it! HELP!

I have a virus that has affected my MBR. I've tried
everything - including a new hard drive but it did NO
GOOD! I don't know the name of it but it turns my
Windows (any version I've installed - currently XP) into
windows NT4.0 service pack 5 and then it crashes my
system. I've been infected since late Feb and I give
up. I've written zero's to my harddrive - I flashed my
bios - i've done everything. I can't even figure out the
name of the infection to help me get rid of it.
Everything I try to do it puts a patch on to counteract.
All my virus programs - the microsoft websites security
patches - it puts it's own patch on so it can't be
detected and if any files are detected it won't fix it,
just says "error". Can ANYONE HELP ME???? I Would be so
very grateful!

I won't accept being defeated by a virus!!
