    Note the suggested solutions for intermittent problems are to disable NAV,
    get or send the email that's causing the problem, then re-enable NAV.

    After a few such dances (and the horrendous piles of duplicated and/or lost
    emails generated), it becomes clear that you're not all that interested in
    re-enabling NAV scanning of email.
