So, stay off that particular web site. Why would you go somewhere if the
place hurts you? Would you walk down a dark alley in a strange city in the
middle of the night? Use the same common sense when going to web sites. Many
of them are just come-ons for placing crap on your computer.

I assume that you are using a good firewall and up-to-date antivirus
program?

Use safe surfing habits and you will have few problems. I have never found a
reputable site that put anything on a computer other than tracking cookies,
and those are a fact of life. Even those can be dealt with!
