Then you know your computer isn't clean. Hopefully you've backed up all
your important data. Make sure your AVG is using the latest scanning
engine - a real drawback of AVG Free Version is that it will not update
the scanning engine. Many of the techs I know, myself included, have
stopped recommending it and are using instead the eTrust AV/Firewall
combination with the free one-year subscription sponsored by Microsoft.
I would definitely at least try an online virus scanner like the one at
TrendMicro. Here's the url:
http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
I'd also do the normal spyware scanning: remove spyware with Spybot
Search & Destroy from www.safer-networking.org and Ad-aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs before running
them. These programs are free, so run them both since they complement
each other. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in
Safe Mode. You may also need to run CWShredder from
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html .
Please read the instructions carefully. Also, make sure you've visited
Windows Update and applied all security patches. Make sure you are
running a firewall.
Do your scanning for all malware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode,
repeatedly tap the F8 key while the computer is starting up to get the
right menu. When you know your computer is completely clean, you may
need to reinstall your Autocad.
Good luck, and post back with results of your troubleshooting if you
need more help.
