I use 'Spybot Search&Destroy' and am very satified that it is a good, useful
program. 'Panicware' I am not familiar with, but I do use AdAware by
Lavasoft, which I also consider a good, useful program. Any security
program you see constantly recommended in THIS newsgroup you can trust. If
the recommended programs weren't useful and trustworthy there would be MANY
countering messages posted. One of the best thing about Usenet newsgroups
is that a GOOD newsgroup can function as sort of a peer review of
recommendations and explanations. Bad information is challenged pretty
quickly (within the day posted, usually.) Microsoft.public.security.virus
is a GOOD newsgroup, with lots of knowledgable frequent posters.
