Hi Jerry,
I'm afraid those instructions are not good enough for WinXP. Nowhere
is it mentioned that you are supposed to use "shutdown.exe -a" to
abort a shutdown on WinXP.
The "RECOVERY" section here mention the "shutdown.exe -a" method:
