nothing is working right

i am running win xp on pentium 3 677. my norton has
disapeared non of my icons are working. the onlything i can
open is programs that i installed. to open program i gata
go to the .exe file and OPEN WITH loadfix. i tryed
reinstalling norton and it seems like windows wont let it
open. some how i got norton to work and it wound 10 viruses
and i know i got more
but norton wornt work. i tryed reinstalling it many times
still nothing. i even tryed popping in the win xp cd the
intro popps up but when i click on install win xp it wont move.

(o man y me) it would mean alot for any advice thank you
