Doubt it, but a clean install can't hurt if you're willing to go that
route - maybe want to try a repair install first (just put your XP CD in the
drive & let it repair) - you'll need to reapply all SPs/patches from Windows
Update. Make sure you enable your firewall before connecting to the
Internet...I suggest uninstalling (or at the very least disabling) your
antivirus software before doing the repair installation.
