>I am sorry I didn't provide enough info at the first
post. I do believe they are related to HP, however I am
not so sure. These files are of no practical use. They
reside in start up, along with needed hp psc files (all
in one printer). What could any good use come out of a
replicating file. I have had as many as 50+ of each
(.dat & .tif) versions from one day to the next. It has
took many hrs. to delete the copies several times. One
laptop of mine an older presario was completely overrun
with this "disease" that I had to use a restore disk
which eliminated all files. I was told to uncheck the
box in msconfig. Symatec and Mcafee both give the
infected machines a clean bill of health.
