You can boot the XP CD to the recovery console and then run
McAfee from the hard drive...
you can boot a McAfee CD and run virus scan using the
downloaded DAT files.

You can do an on-line virus scan by McAfee or Norton or at
PC Pit stop www.pcpitstop.com

| OK, I am having the same issue. I downloaded the McAfee
dos scan and it
| does not scan NTFS partitions. Is there a free virus scan
that scans
| DOS that can scan NTFS partitions?
