Hi - I don't think anyone will know exactly what you're referring to as you
haven't included the original message in your reply. What you describe
sounds like messenger spam to me....however, note that if you're getting
popup messages, there are a few things you'll want to do:
1) Use a good firewall to protect your computer from the Internet - if
you're getting Messenger Spam, it means you have ports open from your
Internet connection, and the messenger spam itself is merely symptomatic of
a larger problem. If you have Windows XP, you can enable the built-in ICF
(internet connection firewall) - or use a third party firewall like Sygate
or ZoneAlarm - or a hardware firewall appliance
2) Use an IE popup blocker like http://toolbar.google.com
3) Download and run AdAware and/or SpyBot Search & Destroy to scan
for/remove parasites.
