Formerly I was having a problem where my computer would
start rebooting by itself. I did an online virus scanning
from the symantec website and the virus gaobot.gen was
found. I downloaded the removal tool and ran it and it
showed that it cleaned the virus. I then bought a
Symantec Antivirus 2004 but when I open the program, it
just never "appears" on the screen. I redid an online
scanning and it says that the virus is still there. I ran
the removal tool again but it says that there is no
virus. Following the instructions on the symantec website
to manually remove the virus, I rebooted into safe mode,
disable the system restore, managed to open the symantec
antivirus and ran a scanning. It found no virus. Any idea
anyone?
Thanks.
