Issues with PC

I have a PC and have some weird things happening. The
machine has McAffee installed on it but when I open it,
it will remain open for a second then close. I've tried
to uninstall it but that shuts down after starting it.

I then installed Norton. It did a initial scan and found
no issues but I couldn't get it to open too. I went to
Norton's website and it told me I had the Wechia.worm. I
ran their utility and cleaned out the worm files. It
then told me I had to make some changes through the
MSConfig application. But this screen will only remain
open for a second before closing. I've also tried to
install all of MS updates but it still says I have ten to
go. I've tried installing the last ten upgrades about
three times.

Anyone now what my next step should be?
