You reported your fix an hour before my post. I dug around to find the fix
after reading taff's post; which was made about six hours before you
reported finding the fix. Mind your manners...taff got there first.

A.) taff got there first.

B.) Most of the people probably don't use AVG, so don't know the details of
where to go. I think one did use it, but was satisfied to leave it at the
default settings.

C.) Nearly everybody, myself included, suggested that you look for an
advanced options menu; so the fact that you finally did is interesting.

D.) It is at least a year since I installed AVG. I gave it up on my computer
because of flaky interaction with some installed, ancient program. No such
conflict existed on the other computer, so I left it. I recall that it took
me forever to find the right combination of advance settings to satisfy me.
I left those setting on the other computer; haven't played with the
interface until stumbling into your thread. Everybody, including me, who
suggested there was a configuration problem was right. But this isn't an AVG
user's group, so you are stuck either waiting for an AVG user, or figuring
out for yourself.

E.) You have a short temper and a sharp...tongue (considering we aren't
literally "speaking").
