Thank you all for the suggestions.
Our e-mail server is not very sophisticated in order to
be able to apply the filters at the server level. I did
contact our ISP, and they do not yet have the service
available for the filtering at their level - another
month or so.
Our mail server does hold the bounced mails in the
outgoing mail queue until I release / purge them. I have
to scan the messages to make sure they are all mails I do
indeed want to purge and are not valid mail bounces that
I need to alert people to.
Yes, we are a small business and handling the network, e-
mail/virus scans, etc. is supposed to be a minor add-on
to my job. But it has occupied more and more of my
time. The only good thing is that I am acquiring lots of
new knowledge about an area I do not know much about.
Thank you all who have responded. I have printed out the
suggestions and will try to zero in on this problem. I
hate the thought that we just have to live with these
incoming messages until the person who has the infected
machine figures it out.
