My Doom Creators - incomprehensible

I just want to rant a little. I run a support network for adult rare
cancer and pediatric cancer patients. We help newly diagnosed
patients find information, support, treatment centers, etc.. It is an
all volunteer network of incredible cancer survivors.

I can understand the creators of 'My Doom' going after companies like
Microsoft and SCO. In a very childish way, this is a way for them to
get what they consider to be 'big notches' on their belt buckles. I
started programming in 1966 and I am still doing it. Why this is a
'triumph' to hackers still eludes me. I can only see it as a stupid
childish game.

What I do not understand is why they would 'attack' my rare and
pediatric cancer website. They are using email addresses with the
suffix of that website and generating their virus-laden emails. This
cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, be declared a triumph.
Destroying the credibility of a website with the primary purpose of
helping babies, children, and adults with rare cancers is
incomprehensible.

There is an old Italian saying, when translated, means "what goes
around, comes around". I hope and pray that I never have to answer an
email requesting support or help for a rare or pediatric cancer
diagnosis from any of these people who deem it their job to destroy
our website. I am so angry with them today, I am not sure I would
help them. They certainly are not helping us!!!

I am including my website name in this post, so that others know that
we are not sending out these emails. It is just another cloaking
tactic used by these unscrupulous people.

Take Care, Sharon
