Do I have a virus?

Hello,
I have previously experienced the blaster worm virus and I have read about
it and I understand that one of its symptoms is the appearance of an RPC
timed shutdown notice. I get such a notice, however the RPC shutdown
message doesn't appear when it wants
to. It only appears when I do "end task" on one of the
"svchost" processes. Other than that, I have enabled the
Windows XP firewall, I have the latest antivirus
definitions installed for Norton Antivirus, I have
installed the 824146 patch from windows update and the VB
script that is supposed to clean the worm doesn't detect
it on my system and neither does the symantec blaster
worm removal tool or norton antivirus. Other than the
RPC shutdown message that occurs only when I end the
svchost process, I am not aware of any other faulty
behaviour of my system. Do I have a virus? Can it
spread to other computers if I transfer files from my
computer to them?
