Victor,
Zone Alarm Pro latest version is 4.5.538.000 and it is an improvement over
version that you have. Main things I have noticed are:
It seems faster by about 25%
The menu setup is a little easier and you can customize more (colors,
reports etc...)
The "Privacy mode" seems to work better and much easier to add both "good"
and "bad" sites.
It has more of a list of sites that are not "good" to access.
Other then that, you do not "see" to much difference. I think that ZoneAlarm
will let you download a trial version and you could always use that and see
what you think.
My guess is that 4.0 will stop most all hackers and Trojans as it is, with
the 4.5.538 catching a few more of the current ones. For me, it was worth
the $30 as I end up going to many different web sites and I feel safer with
it. On the other hand I know of many people that surf the web far more then
me and use ZA 4.0 and have never gotten into any trouble at all.
I think that if you do a search at ZA, you will find the differences between
them.
