This problem may have come from use of a file sharing
program (such as Kazaa).
Lavasoft offers a free spyware find/remove tool
called Ad-Aware" that might help you:

Be sure to click "Check for updates now" and get any
available updates, before you scan.
It is also important that you keep your operating
system patched to fix vulnerabilities that leave you open
to attack. Microsoft makes updates available free at:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
