wupdater won't close

I'm having a lot of trouble with something
called "wupdater". I've already written to this site
asking for advise (I get a message saying "wupdater is
having trouble closing") and I was redirected. It seems
this is a virus or trojan worm. I still can't get rid of
it, I've tried 2 different virus scanners and a trojan
scanner and have also just tried to delete it. But I've
had no luck with anything.

Surely someone here can give some more specific advice.
