.ddl File Removal

I have picked up a .dll file that I can neither delete or
remove with my virus software. Description as follows:

DNSErr.dll ( AdWare) Pop-Up

Anyone familar with how to remove this .dll. Every
previous attempt has failed. I try to delete it from my
hardrive directly, indicates "Acess Denied". From
MaCaffee, notes it can not be deleted ot cleaned.
