But you could set up an external program to scan the mailboxes and
delete virus-spam-mail. There are many such programs both Open Source
and Commercial. And you usually don't need a virus-scanner to catch most
of the mail-bombing-viruses out there.

This would have to go as a security-policy in the company, always zip
files sent by email. And as yours, it was just an informal suggestion.
The fact still remains that this is a very easy way for a company to
reduce the effect of worms such as SWEN on their systems, and many do
use the technique.

No, mailing lists are usually adressed to the list, if one uses a
list-processing program and not do it manually.

Nope, it will be delivered by the senders mailserver to your mailserver
but there will be no headers in the email. :-)

For both of theese you will have a "Delivered-To:"-header that will
include your email-adress but this will be present in the
virus-spam-mail as well wich means that your filter would not work.

I understand that you wanted to be informative towards others. But since
you where talking about business-accounts I wanted to add some comments.
